LOW ELEMENTS

Initiatives and low elements are a great way to test and strengthen the ability of a group to communicate, follow instruction, develop teamwork, and mentally solve the challenge of each element. The low elements are those that do not involve the use of safety ropes (belays) and that are constructed near the ground. The safety system used in low element activities is group spotting. Some, such as the hickory jump can be used to emphasize or teach the skills necessary to accomplish the high elements.
